Activists of Associations “HO Horizonti” Tuzla and ” Forum žena” Bratunac organised street action activity on the occassion of the “International Women Human Rights Defenders Day” that took place in Tuzla center, on Saturday 29 November 2014. “Defending Women Defending Rights” is an international campaign launched in 2004 in order to recognize and protect women’s human rights defenders and activists who advocate for fulfillment of all human rights for all people. The campaign asserts that women combating for human rights and all activists who defend women’s human rights face specific violence that takes place due to their advocating efforts or in connection with their sex/gender. November 29 is the day that commemorates the defenders, and women’s human rights, activism, advocacy and courageous acts of resistance, bearing the merit of moving borders in their local and national communities in the recognition and realization of human rights for all. This street action is one of the activities of the Association “HO Horizonti” Tuzla within the campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence”.
