Within the frame of Project „Peace with woman’s face – empowering women to deal with the past“ supported by Swedish Fondation Kvinna till Kvinna, Organisation of women „LARA“ Bijeljina in partnership with the Association „HO HORIZONTI“ Tuzla organized training on „Dealing with the past – empowering women for peacebuilding“. The training was held in hotel Kardial, Banja Vrucica from 5th to 11th April 2013. Training participants were women representatives of civil society from Bijeljina, Zenica, Tuzla, Sarajevo, Mostar, Bratunac, Višegrad, Bihać, Grahovo, Banja Luka and Modriča and moderated by Tamara Šmidling and Helena Rill, experts in peacebuilding and transitional justice education.
„Models of Dealing with the Past and How to Learn from Others“, „War and Myself“, „Culture of Memories“, „Women’s and Feminist Perspectives of Dealing with the Past“, „Why Peace Activism is Important and How to Practice It“, „Looking to the Future“ are the topics that training participants have discussed during these five days.
Evaluation workshop will take place on 15-16 May in Brcko.
