Overall project objective is contribution to improvement of mental health and life quality of citizens in Tuzla canton through treatment of war and post-war trauma and through prevention of asocial behaviour.

The Project’s overall objective is to increase public perception of violence against women as a crime and violation of women’s human rights, and to promote and protect women’s human rights.

Target groups:

  • women – victims of domestic violence – women whose husbands or partners use physical violence, who suffer sexual violence in their homes, who suffer emotional violence – control, jealousy, blame, abuse, humiliation, threats, offences, isolation, and limitation of their contacts with relatives and friends, economic dependence, and abuse of their children, who suffer violence at working place, etc.
  • young women/female adolescents – participants in workshop on reproductive health and domestic violence prevention
  • women activists in local community (women from political parties, local neighbourhood communities, NGOs, media).

The overall project objective is effective implementation of Law on Gender Equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina and improved ability of community in the area of prevention and protection of victims of violence in the family and society in general.

  • psychological support through group and individual therapy, counselling and SOS line for women victims of family violence and other types of gender based violence and discrimination in the society
  • workshops “Gender-based violence” and “Activism and motivation” for members of anti-violence teams in local communities – creation of the action plan for addressing the problems related to gender-based violence in our local
  • workshops for medical staff of the University Clinical Centre Tuzla about legislative related to women human rights
  • education for anti-violence teams in local communities / two round tables
  • workshops for the representatives of health workers and local gender commissions with the aim of creation of concrete recommendation for the Municipality of Tuzla regarding the issues of women’s health and health protection and gender-sensitive budgeting
  • monitoring of the activities of Anti-violence teams in local communities – monitoring workshops
  • workshop „UNSCR 1325“ and cooperation with LOT teams and Anti-violence teams
  • monitoring of the activities of women – medical staff of the University Clinical Centre Tuzla  – 2 monitoring workshops related to their advocacy and lobbing activities in local community
  • workshops for youth on reproductive health and rights, family violence and non-violent communication
  • workshops for peer educators – reproductive health and rights
  • active participation in NGO networks – Reference group Tuzla and the organisations supported by Kvinna till Kvinna
  • campaign 16 days of activism
  • supervision for psychotherapists.
