In 2013, the association "HO HORIZONTI" will continue activities to promote the participation of young women in decision-making processes and democratic processes through education, encouraging their leadership, activism and volunteerism. The "Women's Educational Center" project, with the support of the Swedish foundation Kvinna till Kvinna, is a continuation of the project of the same name that began in January 2012.
Furthermore, in partnership with the NGO "Forum žena" Bratunac, and with the financial support of the UN Women organization, the Association "HO HORIZONTI" will continue the successful implementation of the Project "Integration of the Principles of Gender Equality in the Local Community" in 2013, the implementation of which began in July in 2012 in the municipalities of Srebrenica, Bratunac, Lukavac and Kalesija, with the overall goal of strengthening the capacity, operability and sustainability of institutional mechanisms for the integration of gender equality principles at the local level.
Association "HO HORIZONTI" Tuzla will from January 2013 to September 2014 in partnership with the women's organization "Lara" Bijeljina, and with the financial assistance of the Swedish foundation Kvinna till Kvinna, implement the project "Peace with a female face - empowering women to face the past ". The inclusion of women in the peace process in Bosnia and Herzegovina is of crucial importance for establishing peace on the principles of equality of all citizens, because in this way peace building will also have aspects of demilitarization of social consciousness and deconstruction of patriarchal society, which are key processes for building tolerance and non-violence.
