Contrary to international conventions that treat the matter of gender equality, retrograde and negative phenomena are taking place in our city in the field of gender equality. Instead of working to achieve the much-needed equality of women and men in the management of public affairs, at this moment we have to state that the process of eliminating the few women who have found themselves in positions of management is in the process of being eliminated. Since the beginning of the mandate of the new local and cantonal authorities, there has been a decrease in the number of women in leading positions in public and political life. We ask the municipal and cantonal authorities to review all cases where women were dismissed from public and political life, and men were appointed to their places. We ask that the Law on Gender Equality of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Gender Equality Action Plan of Tuzla Municipality be implemented. At the local level, the Project "Improvement of Gender Equality of the Tuzla Municipal Council" ADOPTED ON OCTOBER 31, 2013 has been adopted, until today no significant changes in favor of gender equality are visible. We want to believe that these events are the result of unintentional and insufficient gender awareness, and not a real desire to eliminate women from the sphere of public action and management.

The women's lobby group TK was formed in 2013 out of the need for the joint action of all interested women in the area of Tuzla Canton who want to solve the burning problem of the decreasing representation of gender equality in Bosnia and Herzegovina. society. Created as part of the "Women's Educational Center" project, it has gathered 8 members, (with the aim of further expansion) women who are active in various political parties, as well as women who have focused their activities on the non-governmental sector and active participation in political and cultural life. . The actions and activities of the Women's Lobby Group are dictated by its members, who have excellent cooperation with other women's lobby groups and (in)formal women's associations throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
